Space Product DevelopmentMarch 30 Huntsville, AL - Businesses Will Find Space To Grow At Chicago Conference - Manufacturers and businesses attending the National Manufacturing Week in Chicago March 15-18 will be able to find out-of-this-world help for obtaining down-to-Earth results through representatives of NASA's Space Product Development Program. The program encourages businesses to seize the opportunities possible through space to obtain new products and technologies.

The slogan for the Space Product Development Program, "Space For Business To Grow," has been chosen as the theme for the NASA pavilion at the show, which is the third largest trade show in the United States. Items on display will include an engine block from the Solidification Design Center, which is helping corporate partners improve both the manufacturing process and the parts produced; an LED surgical probe developed by a commercial partner to help fight cancer; a processing chamber being developed for use on the International Space Station; and Aerogel, a super insulator that is super light.
